About me
I am Sergey, a software engineer with over 30 years of experience in the field. I live in Finland and am also a devoted father of two sons. Driven by a desire to better understand the conditions my both sons were facing, I began studying molecular biology and genetics in 2016.
While my elder son has Tourette syndrome and a mild form of autism, my younger son has ADHD. My pursuit not only deepened my knowledge of the human body but also inspired me to develop software tools that would aid my research on chronic diseases and human metabolism.
As a father of two sons facing different challenges, I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of those dealing with chronic conditions, including Tourette syndrome, autism, and ADHD.
Topics of interest
As I continue my research in molecular biology and genetics, my focus is on oxidative stress and its consequences from a metabolic point of view. I am fascinated by the role that oxidative stress plays in chronic diseases and how it affects human health.
Additionally, I am studying how proteins interact with each other and how dysfunctions in these interactions can lead to various diseases. Understanding these complex molecular mechanisms is crucial for developing effective treatments and improving our collective understanding of human health.
Through my work, I hope to contribute to the growing body of research on oxidative stress, protein interactions, and their role in chronic diseases. Ultimately, my goal is to develop and share knowledge that will help others to regain their health.
