Paracetamol and ECS
I suspect it’s possible that Acetaminophen (Paracetamol) may reduce tics and anxiety, by inhibiting the enzyme FAAH that metabolizes anandamide - the endocannabinoid signalling molecule.
In simple English: whatever increases stimulation of cannabinoid receptors (just enough) should be able to improve tics and anxiety.
Paracetamol has this effect on ECS (see Ref 1).
Did you notice if people with tics disorders (and TS) have increased sensitivity to pain? Or increased tactile / audio sensitivity in general? That might be from insufficient endocannabinoid signalling.
